Default Just removed muffler...

I went to the local muffler shop and had them replace the stock muffler with a straight pipe and 4" chrome tip.

It cost just under $100 and it sounds very nice under full throttle...

However, under part throttle around town and under load on the highway, it is too much. Lots of drone and gets annoying.

I'll probably have a glasspack added upstream, just after the 2 into 1 section to help tone it down a little.

I've got a CAI on the way, so I'll commute next week and see if any mileage increase.

Seat of the pants dyno does indicate some improvement, and cruising RPMs are down slightly.

i can tell you how it sounds cuz i have ran no muffler before and it sounds really good down low, up top it sounds like a six but not too bad because the cats seem to make the exhaust tone alittle deeper. My choice for an almost stock v6 for axleback is no axleback

I don't have the means to do a sound clip, but here are the pics:

Go with a Dynomax race muffler in the overaxle pipe. They work great.

Not possible. X rpm = Y speed. Can't change that unless you change tire size, gear ratio, etc.
