Default 8.8 rearend & driveshaft

I know this may be a repete question... I just installed an 8.8 into my 2008 V6 car. Can I use the stock driveshaft? I flat ran out of time & did not verify legnth... & what coupler on the rearend do I need? Any help is greatly app. Thanks, Lrjr.

Yes you can reuse the V6 driveshaft. The 8.8 needs to have the V6 flange on it and no, they are not transferable meaning you can take yours off the stock and move it to the new. I believe the V6's and the old cobra flanges are one in the same on the 8.8's.

I tried that & its will not spine on. The spline count is diff.on the 7.5". & . I think I need the flat cobra pinion yoke.

7.5'' Ford

I put the 8.8" take off rear axle w/ 3.73s.
Now, my driveshaft vibrates at 85-90. Gets downright violent at a hundred.
If you change your gear ratio to the same extreme, you might have the same problem. Factory driveshafts are balanced and speed rated for whatever. Now I need an alum driveshaft HP driveshaft.

That's weird... The driveshaft should be fine regardless of the axle ratio.
