Default need advice from experienced s197 owners

I just ordered a tuner CAI combo. Is it safe to install the CAI first by myself and then the tuner? Is it hard to put the tuner in? I just need any advice I can get from people that have done this before.

if its a combo you should do both at the same time. Installing the CAI should take an hour at most and installing the tune about the same,

Just follow the directions and you can't go wrong. If you have any difficulties, post here.

If I went the route of getting it done, any idea on what installation would be?

I am guessing in the neighborhood of $150.00 . You should be able to do it yourself it is quite easy.

Don't pay to have it done. My 15 year old son and I did it in about 45 minutes. It was very easy and fun. My 8 year old could have done it. You only need a flat head screw driver and and a socket set. You can go to home Depot Or Lowes and buy one of those handy man special kits with all the tools you need for about $20 or $30.

dewness, don't have someone else do it. If you can make toast without burning it too badly, you're over qualified to install a CAI and tune. What brand of CAI and tuner did you go with? We can give you more specific instructions then. It's really easy and I do mean...reeaalllly easy.
