Default V6 Foglights Coversion switch

I've seen threads addressing other problems with installing foglights on a V6 but never anything regarding this, so if there has already been one i apologize.

In searching for a grill with foglights for my V6 Mustang, i found several options, the cheapest of which being Mustang Grille w/ GT-Style Angel Eye Fog Lights - Chrome (2005+ V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Now paying $270 for this makes it a no brainer if everything works fine but theres one thing i cant find any information about.

The description for the product reads "Includes all required wiring and on/off switch."

My question is is this the same switch found on the GT and Pony Package grill? Because I know that that switch is the same as my current switch, but when pulled out it turns on the fog lights. If I'm going to go through the trouble of doing all this I would want that stock switch, not some random switch that would have to be installed elsewhere.

If anyone has this kit and knows your help would be much appreciated

Chances are that its an aftermarket switch. If you're fairly good with a dremel you should be able to make a small hole in your stock light switch housing to accomodate the new fog lamp switch. Otherwise you could consider putting it inside your center console on the little removable plate, under the dash, or on the dead pedal for a vintage high beam feel. (being that the older cars had their high beam switch on the dead pedal)

I've got several switches built into my center console on the small removable plate in there and they look just fine. They're completely hidden from sight when the lid is closed which is 99% of the time.

You could also buy an OEM light switch housing from a GT or PP model. They sell them around but prices range from $60 or so to over 100. Your call but to me $60 is a lot to pay for a switch.

I did this conversion a couple of years ago using the Pony Grill. The supplier inluded a FOMOCO GT switch that replaced my stock switch, a very easy install. Having said all this, I've also seen grill kits that only included an inexpensive toggle switch that does not look too cool on your dash. I'd hold out for the OEM switch. BTW, does that kit include the lower grill - it looks good?
