Default Can you name this part?

I am looking to replace the factory plastic piece around the automatic shifter, but I cannot find the name of it anywhere (next step will be to find it).

Can anyone help me name this? (see attached picture of what I would like...instead of the bland black factory one)

If you look at the name of that picture you posted it tells you. Those are called 'automatic shifter bezels.'

I believe that one is a satin silver or polished silver color. Other than that I can't tell ya much 'cuz i'm not as savvy about the automatic stuff as I am the manual stuff.

That picture came from a site selling the shifter bezel which is the outer part only. I am looking for the part inside of the red lines.

Hmm... It seems to me that that part would be part of the shifter bezel... I would say its part of an aftermarket shifter but I know that there aren't any aftermarket shifters out for the automatics yet...

Unhappy

That was my thought, too, until I could not find that actual part. Searching for a "shifter bezel" yields plenty of results for the rectangular part around the edge (with the GT inscription).

Unfortunately, that is not all I am after. Do you know how I can get a factory one? the paint on mine is chipping and does not look that great anymore (something rubbed it).

I'm not even going to ask.

I'd say go to the dealer and ask them, its kind of a random question.

That is called the Shift Plate, which is part of the entire Shifter Assembly and not cheap. It is very difficult to replace since you have to tear the entire console apart. Been there. Done that. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I took the bezel off to see how it may be attached, but I could not actually see how to get the shift plate off.

Do you have any suggestions? Maybe just paint it by hand while it is still attached instead of replacing it? Mine is factor black, but I like the look of the one in the picture above.

I went to the dealer about a yr ago to replace the same part and they told me that I had to buy the entire shifter assembly. They said that the piece with the R N D 3 2 1 was not available by itself.
