Within the year, I will have my CAI, 93 race tune from bama, and 4.10 gears. All of that should hold me over for a long while. But if I decide to set aside some money in a year or two, would I be able to safely run a supercharger? Most say if you want to go FI, then 3.73s are the way to go. I will be getting 4.10s no matter what, but I want to know if I can run a procharger with them as well. Keep in mind mine is an auto. Thanks guys

I prefer 3.73's with f/i, but since your auto 4.10 could be very fun, but will probably be a hand full. You can run a sueprcharger with them, just might have trouble hooking the tires. If i were you i would try out the 4.10 now, and if its too much then throw in some 3.73's and you should be happy.

i would check out the powerhouse turbo but if your set on a supercharger a procharger is prolly your best bet, 4.10s should be fine, i know people running even higher gears with superchargers, it might be a bit much for daily driving but o well, if its that bad you can always switch

4.10's might give you some traction problems with a S/C from a dig but i'm sure you can adjust your driving style to accomodate. 3.73's are still the recommended ratio for F/I. ProCharger is a good S/C with plenty of positive reviews. i believe shelby uses this S/C for the CS6. anyways, the other good centri is the Vortech if thats the kind of S/C you want. if you want a roots type, X-Charger is by far the most popular and most praised. good luck on your modding adventures.

Hmmm, might have to learn to feather it . And I was thinking of the wrong SC the whole time. If I were to get one, it would be a X charger. Because the kit comes with a CAI and tuner, would I have to replace the CAI and tunes from bamachips? I have no clue, because I know bamachips works with the people who make the X charger. And I dont really feel like wasting money if I don't have to, lol.
i put a pro charger on my 2005 v6 with jba headers and a magnaflow exhaust, stock gears made 270 rwh , had it on for 3 years no problems. sct programmer did the reprograming.

if you're already a tune customer of bama, he might be able to send you a tune free of charge. dont quote me on that though. a S/C tune is worth more than a readjusted tune for a different CAI. for your info, doug has sent me new tunes free of charge when i upgraded to my current C&L. but like i said earlier, a S/C tune is more involved so you may have to purchase it. at least you already got the tuner so you'll save on that. get the X without tuner then get the tune file from doug. good luck
i have the 3.73's and an auto, ive been looking into the S/C for a while... Alot of ppl did reccomend the 4.10's though when i was originally buyin gears since i have an automatic...
You should so your due dilagence and make sure the gears you buy are the ones you stick with....(costly change out...and not something a backyard mechanic should do, they have to be measured and installed correctly, or they can give out quickly) the 4.10's will be worse on gas milage and a lil harder to control, but since u have the auto... it should be fine.
Why post in a year old thread? I'm sure the OP got his questions answered by now.
