He has one of the adapter hoses on order, so we'll give it a try when it arrives. Once the FP sensor issue is solved, we have to get the 3-gauge wiring run from the dash pod to somewhere under the dash. Through the windshield vent is how I hear that being done most frequently. We have identified where to get switched power and dimmer-controlled lighting and have some fused pigtails made up. Then finding a home for the single A/F wire somewhere under the hood and we should be up and running. Thanks for the help everyone. When it's done, I'll post a pic....
Run your wiring thru the def vent- it's a pain if but well worth it.
here's some basic instructions from the CDC kit. 2005+ Mustang Gauge Pod - Installation Instructions at AmericanMuscle.com
Key-on power from a fuse tap in the SJB
Illumination from a tap on the dash light wire on the back of the headlamp switch.
I wouldn't waste my time installing a narrow band AF gauge with F/I. Get a wideband.

Well, we've had some success and some failure. Our Fuel Pressure sensor situation has been solved (thanks GrayPony, "T" hose worked great). The only wire left homeless is the violet wire for the narrow bad A/F ratio gauge. I had an email exchange with a tech at Autometer and he supplied me with what wire to tap into (see below). He said it was in the middle PCM connector. Problem is that I can't find a gray wire with light blue stripe. I removed the tape & loom from the middle PCM connector and looked at each wire individually. I don't find that color combination. I think if I knew how to identify pin #28 on the connector, I might be able to work backwards to the correct wire. Does anyone know how the pin numbers correlate to the connector? Or if this wire is DARK or LIGHT Gray? According to the Autometer site the 4.0 and 4.6 have the same connection.
Air/Fuel Ratio – Oxygen Sensor Gauge Installation for 4.0 engine(s)
Gray wire with a light blue stripe at pin # 28 of the PCM. PCM located in the passenger side of the engine bay.
I wouldn't waste my time with a narrow band A/F. I won't tell you much of anything. In fact, the o2 sensor circuit uses very little voltage and tapping or extending wires can cause the PCM to throw codes. A wideband comes with it's own Bosch sensor, harness and bung for the exhaust. If you decide to tap into the wire I would do it with a solder joint and heatshrink not a wire tap crimp connector.
Here is the ECM pinout an current track

I understand (now) about the wideband vs narrowband. But he already has the gauges and pod since last Christmas, so that part's a done deal. Plus adding bungs is way beyond our skills. Crikey, we're still trying to install the gauges and pod 9 months later. I will solder that connection as soon as we isolate the correct wire. The tech from Autometer recommended same thing about no crimp connector. He supplied us a pin map of the 70-pin connector just today, so I'm hoping we can find that stupid gray/blue wire this weekend. I helped him install his Procharger and my wife and I installed our KB ourselves (slow, but we did it). This 3-gauge install has been such a frustrating ordeal I've just about abandon the idea of adding ANY gauges to my Roush (even though I do lust for an SOS a-pillar pod and the matching Roush faces). What a long strange trip it's been....
