NOS, NX-Express and ZEX I hear are all good. If you go with the nitrous route make sure to have a good tune to go along with it or things could get ugly.

i hear the best nitrous kit for our cars is a zex wet kit but i've never gone the nitrous route so i dont have any personal experience. As for beating a GT, my v6 slaughters the GT at this point, 4 car lengths by 70 mph and im only on 8.3 psi
If you had the money i would definetly say go turbo

I agree Turbo is the way to go. dont get nitrous i wouldnt use nitros unless it was a all track car
Nitrous is safe with a good accurate tune, things can go ugly without the proper tune on SC's and turbo's too. So the tune is key here if you want to run any sort of power adder.

Dont tell me you didn't watch "the fast and the furious"?
Seriously, though, no not really. I don't have any specific experiences, pictures, or other evidence to back up my claims. As a matter of fact, I probably shouldn't have said that a SC is safer than N2O, and Im very, very sorry for talking out of my ass.
Im not expert and don't claim to be, all I know is the research that I've done so far, and a SC looks to be the best solution for "power that's there when I want it with the least amount of daily hassle and maintenance".
I'm sure that N2O is great for instant bursts of power on the strip, but this is a daily driver that I just want to make a little more fun to drive...
