Default What Kind of Wheels are you using with a lowered Mustang

Is my car going to look weird lowered with the stock Chrome wheels? Do most people get wider wheels when they lower their car?

Default To be honest...

I have put wider tires on my current mustang and the last one, the last one looked good with 18 inch wider size tries even though it wasn't lowered and I love the way the wider tires look on my current pony with the 20 inch wheels.

...this is lowered with Eibach pro kit and wider tires.

Personally, I like the Mustang look with wider tires whether you are running 18's or 20's and whther you are lowered or not. It just gives the car a more aggressive stance.

I have the chrome wheels that came wit the Pony package. They sit in the wheel well a bit more than I like. I'm thinking of using spacers. The tires are 235 50 18. Has anyone lowered there car using these tires.

Are you sure 18 and not 17? I have a Pony as well and I am fairly sure they are 17.

Personally for me, a mustang needs rubber! I am not a fan of the rims that leave little of the rubber, like 20s. For me it is a bit too much rim and not enough rubber.

If you want to see what it will look like lowered with your wheels, look at my profile. I have the same wheels (I think) as you and mine has been lowered with Eibach pro line springs (the mild ones)

As do I. Maybe they changed it in the later models.
