Default Seat marks from Seatbelt

Have a 2008 V6 with tan brushed interior and black seatbelts. Problem is, the seat belt seems to leaving black marks on top outer edge of drivers seat (next to door). It looks like dirty hands rubbing on seat; however, that is not the case. Have to clean seats every week. Has anyone else had this problem and would anyone have a solution. I will take to dealer in a few weeks for first oil change. Not sure if dealer will laugh at this or not, but this is definitely a pain and I have never had such an occurrence before. First of all, they should have installed tan seat belts and secondly, the die should not rub off. Appreciate anyone's input.
Thanks,
John

Hey John,

I have a red interior with black belts and the same thing happens to me as well. It also happens if you wear things such as blue jeans too often (the dye rubs off the jeans). I've been using a PH Balanced UV Leather Care Product from Meguiars and it seems to be making it better. I would assume that I'll only need to apply it every several months. However, if you or anyone finds a better solution, please share.

Thanks,
Gotadime

Default Seat belt color coming off on fabric seats

Gotadime:
So you are using a leather care product on fabric seats? There has to be something to do concerning this matter. I cannot believe that all 2005+ owners are not having this problem, as we are. It is totally unacceptable to have to clean seat belt dye off a seat weekly. Let me know.
Thanks,
John

No he using leather cleaner, on leather seats. The red only comes in leather. But the fabric seats are not worth two cents. they get dirty to fast. a drop of clean water leaves a stain. everyone with fabric goes through this. even those with the dark colors, get stains, in there seats.

For some reason the type of fabric used on Fords cloth interiors stain very easily. Our Freestyle's seats look horrible. We have tried cleaning them and using fabric protector's, like Scotchguard with no luck. I found a leather conditioner and cleaner at Target that is working well on my Mustang's leather seats. It is called Zymol. I apply every 2 weeks and so far the leather seems to be softening a bit and does not seem as stiff and dry as it was. The big problem is applying it to the back seat. There is a cows worth of leather back there.
