Do you have a CDC V-6 shaker system?

I'm thinking of adding the CDC shaker system to my 06 V-6 Convertible. Has anybody installed one? How do you like it? Is it worth it? Any down sides to it? I know it doesn't deliver much Horsepower gains, but I think it looks cool, better then the fake scoops on the GT's

yeah id like to do it myself but it can be quite pricey if you have someone install it, and I wouldnt trust myself cutting my hood. As far as power its not much but its the best cai you can get.

It's not a difficult install. Once you get past the shock of that initial cut into the hood

i was watching on speed they were testing the shaker on the gt, on a dyno didnt do anything at all, drag strip it lower et by about a 10th of a second, on a road course it was about a 15th of a second almost 2 10ths. it is more of an increase in efficency than power.

Yeah I certainly wouldn't expect anything on a dyno. It's much more for show anyway.

Yes it is mostly for show.

I took the plunge and bought the system, should be here 20 Aug. I can't wait to install it, then start teaseing the GT guys in our club that my 6 has a functional hood scoop and theirs is just a lump on the hood.

yeah, it just plain out looks cool, and gives you a little more intake efficiency
