The Police actually came because they were escorting someone into the newly built gated community which wasn't open yet, luckily they didn't see us scramble to our cars,because my tire marks were all over the ground and my friend had a camera in his hand so It was obvious that we were racing.

As soon as they turned a corner me and my friend floored it all the way back to his house haha,luckily they didn't see us race, we would have been screwed.

You're right, do you know what the penalty for street racing is in California?

They give you 2 options: 1. You go to jail. 2. You pay a fine and you get to watch them smash your car in a compactor.

Ya,thats why I made sure we were in a place where there wasn't anyone around and was safer then just racing on a normal road would be. The cop escorting the car there was coincidental. When I modify my car more ill be taking it to the track.

The road we raced on was basically a closed road.

As far as "safe" places for street racing goes, that looks as good as any, but don't get hooked..... If you get used to doing it that way, you will make a really bad choice someday because you have conditioned yourself to accept that street racing is OK, and you look and think it is safe, then blamo..... you run over the kid who was biking there because he thought it was safe too. Not gonna happen at the track ya know? Probably a good "got away with it story" but not a good idea to do again. Cool race to watch though.

Ya,I understand that Street Racing isn't cool. It is risky and next time I will be sure to find a completely closed or private road or a track. I see too many incidents where people ruin their lives over it, its really sad.
