If I unhook my battery and reset the computer; the car will run great, get great gas mileage, etc.
But, after a couple of days, the throttle response goes down, gas mileage and performance goes down, and the car just gets sluggish.
Disconnect the battery and it runs great again, but then gets crappy after a couple of hundred miles.
What is going on???
Would getting a tuner aleve this? Or perhaps I should take it to the stealership and have it checked out?
I'm worried once they see the CAI and exhaust, will just say that they are the problem and take my money with no answers...

CAI is an AEM design and no tune. Exhaust is simply stock system with the axle-back replaced with a custom straight pipe and tip; no muffler. Never had a light come on...

Thats your problem but your CAI needs a tune to preform properly, without it the car is still trying to work with the stock air intake and your mixtures get screwed up, go get a Bama chip tuner and see if that doesnt fix you right up
Thought it does cost 400 bucks. I'd say try put on the stock intake. If the problem is still there then not the CAI. But I do agree that you need a tuner with a CAI anyway.

Thanks, I'll order a tuner when payday rolls around next week.
Seems like the Bama chip tuner is the one to get...

The Mustang also has a learning computer in it, which learns the way that you drive the car and adjusts itself accordingly. I'm not sure exactly how it works but I know that it resets when you disconnect your battery so that could be it too.
