Default 1/4 mile improvement after 3.73 install?

Hi guys...

Search function didn't come up with anything specific, so I was if I could ask this of anyone out there... I will be replacing the 7.5" rear end on my 05 V6 soon with an 8.8", and I was wondering if the new rear end (which will be 3.73) might provide faster 0-60, and 1/4 mile times. And if so, does anyone have first hand knowledge of what kind of improvements one can find with this swap? My car is an auto. Thanks....

first off I am kind of negative about things,so here goes.

I have a 3:73 with tloc rearaxle on my 06 V6 auto with the Xcharger. It is the original axle (7.5). The only real difference I have noticed is now I have two really long burnout tracks instead of one.

I disagree. I had 3.73's and FRPP traction lock installed in my car last week and there is a nice difference in acceleration. Maybe its less noticeable because you're x-charged and therefore putting out a lot more power, but the gears are definitely shorter and spool up faster.

Before you could really feel the car bog from a dig and now it takes off like a bat outta hell.

And that posi-track is something else.
