as for the s/c or t/c ?, i would go s/c for these reasons, instant power(no time to spool up) and a lot of the times with a safe tune it puts out even more power(unless you go twin turbo) its also most of the time an easier/ cheaper install. But first things first, get a good tuner(sct, diablo...) ive got the livewire, pics on my profile if ya wanna take a look |
Really? Care to explain? I always was under the impression that a turbo will always make more horsepower then a supercharger lb. for lb. because a turbo runs off exhaust gases while a supercharger is belt riden. A vortech supercharger running 10 lbs of boost makes 313 rwhp and 286 torque on a performance tune. My single turbo makes 313 rwhp and 377 torque on an extremely safe tune on 8.3 psi and on a performance tune makes 335-340 rwhp and 400+ torque.
Mrjimmy ran a 13.8, i can run a 13.2 with full interior, subs in the trunk, tire, jack, everything. The car is also an automatic so it is impossible to launch, not to mention i still have the stock driveshaft, stock rear end which means one wheel peel and 3.31 gears.
After reading what i just wrote the post seems kinda harsh but really im just confused as to why a vortech supercharger is better?
