Default Supercharger or Turbocharger for 2005 Mustang V6

Came into some money on the last powerball drawing.Would like all the pros and cons between going S/C or Turbo on a 2005 V6 Auto.Is one better on MPG?Which one is the most reliable? Not going to drag race the car.Just city and highway driving.Might want to put the rice burners in their place, when the opportunity happens.Only have 10,000.00 miles on car.Do not want to tap the oil pan for intercooler on a S/C.Most fun with? All suggestions/recommendations appreciated.Everyone have a nice week.I will do one of these to my car in the next month. Also, who to recommend on the tune? Thanks a bunch.

Well turbos are going to get better MPG, but I believe they are less reliable because they have heat issues.

If you do some searches you will find alot of information. Just search Turbo vs Supercharger and there are a few threads on that subject. I spent a few hours reading them. I am going to be going with the turbo.

I am also starting to lean towards turbo when the time comes. It is probably very far away though In the mean time I can look at the 10+ threads about Turbo vs SC.

The other day when my friend was talking about putting his 70mm turbo (in the process) on his car (sadly not a mustang) I told him "a turbo is like ED meds for your car because it makes you think you have a really big engine when you don't". I will be telling him that right up until I get a blower for my Mustang

Turkey, heating issues are resolved with a intercooler most of the time BUT my turbo is intercooled and still can get extremely hot, if i had a heat extractor hood everything would be fine, maybe even header wrap, either way, it only gets extremely hot if you stay in boost over and over such as multiple WOT runs in a row.

My 2 cents, go turbo, if you want more details as to why you can read my replies from other threads on this issue or message me. I can tell you now though, if you go supercharged your more then likely going to run high 13s on 10 psi. If you go turbo you can run high 12s on 8.3 psi

Turbos are actually a little easier on the engine internals (if cooled properly). Since there is no belt, there is less damaging harmonic vibration transferred to the crank.

yea i really wanna know what the twin turbo on the v6 is making at the wheels. Seems like if you wanted to use all of that power it is capable of at low boost, you would need to build up the car a little.
