I fell too many people over think this choice. It was easy for me to go 4.10 because I have never met anyone who wishes they had gone higher. Most always wish they would ahve taken that next step lower.
Go with the 4.10's

If you're gonna do gears, you'll be happier with 4.10s. You might lose a little top end speed, but how often will you be going 120. 4.10s are good in the city and pretty good on the highway. The rpms will be a little higher compared to the 3.73s, but not that big of a diff.

I went with the 4:10 w/t-lok. Iit made a huge difference. The 3:73 are very loud. It depends on what kind of driving you do. Highway, 4:10's are the best overall.
The rule of thumb is: automatic 4:10 or manual 3:73
I had the 4:10's installed 3 years ago and never looked back. The gears make a huge difference.

Yes the 8.8 is the GT axle.As for the gears, yes the 4.10's will do better for STRICTLY street/city driving/racing at the drag strip. Not so good for hwy driving.Makes you run at a much higher rpm on the hwy.3.73's are better on the hwy,and still give you some kick in city driving.Stock 3:31-3:73 difference is .42. 3.31-4.10 is .79. Just depends on what you want for your car.

The 4.10s are they way to go bro! I bought the 8.8 from newtakeoff with the 4.10s and installed myself. easy I love it and have had no regrets. Oh and yea the 4.10s can make you smoke your tires, but it depends on the tires, pavement, and weather conditions. If you are looking for a burnout, that might be a little harder with an auto

4.10's are a man's best friend... Well, that is if you have an auto and a v6. I would never go with 4.10's in the GT though. 4.10's in the v6 don't affect the gas mileage too much. Just focus on more air to the engine and let the engine breathe easier. You'll be okay. Smoke some tires for me. I just had to buy new tires, so I won't be smoking any tires ever again.
