Angry High Idle when coasting

I have an 05 Mustang V6 with a manual trans. When I take it out of gear and coast to a stop the idle goes up to as high as 3K rpm. When I stop the idle settles down. This happens even if you are going relatively slow when out of gear.

I have checked the PCM and it has no errors. All the sensors seem to be fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

TPS might be failing or the voltage is off.

thats the same problem all of us with the auto trans is having. theres been a bunch of posts where the car feels like its in cruise control or even builds speed when you coast. so now i know its not a trans issue, its in the throttle somewhere. whats up with this voltage thing your talking about stl?

I downshift a lot exiting the interstate and while slowing down. When I change my driving pattern and depress the clutch and just use the brakes to slow down it also revs up as if I'm actually downshifting and letting out the clutch.

Could it be the computer is programmed to my normal driving habits? It did this before and after my combo was installed.

I sometimes think these drive by wire cars are nothing but silly cone diodes and micro chips possessed by demons. They can really svck.

It's in your tune.

Modern fuel injection programming delays the throttle close to reduce hydrocarbon emissions during deceleration.

You can get a custom tune that closes the throttle sooner.

I got Doug to edit mine.

the high idle does it sometimes in my 05 manual stang and a buddy of mine has one and it did the same thing. what he did is just took it into the dealer ship and all they did is just replace the throttle body but the high idling kept accuring and he took it in there 3 more times so if anything its the computer but i wouldn't be too worried about it cause it only happens when its in neutral if u had the clutch in still it wouldn't do it
