2005 Trouble Code Help I also posted this over on Mustang Forums, but I figure another source of help wouldn't hurt at all. So here's the original post:
Ok, so I got off work tonight and moved my car to the front of the parking lot and went back insside. Then I came back out, turned it on and it went into failsafe mode with the little engine light on. I turned it back on and the message went away but the light is still on, after turning it on and off a few times, its still there. First thing I did when I got home was bust out the XCAL 3 and ceck for codes and got a P2106. I've looked and seen I may need a new TPS? Is this true? If so how much is it to buy and could I install it here so I don't have to pay Ford to do it. Thanks guys.
Here's where I'm at now. Someone told me they had this on their 2006 GT and some other people they talked to did to, and they had to get a whole new throttle body, not just a TPS. So I'm wondering, if that's true, and if it is, would I be safe to drive my car still for a week or so until I get paid again and can afford a new throttle body. Thanks everyone. |
