Default s197 and drag slicks

i am having trouble finding slicks for my mustang, those of you who drag race and run slicks, do you have slicks that fit the stock rims you have? or special rim/slick package you switch to? what kind of tire are you using.

I prefer the drag radials over slicks. Mickey Thompson, Nitto, and possibly BFG make sizes that fit 17"-20" rims.

I use MT ET drags on 17" rims more than enough traction.

Slicks might be a little too much for the 7.5 rear. Not sure the stock axles will like that much traction.

I agree. PLus, with an open rear end, I still think you'll get tire spin. Just my .02 though.
