Default need help wiring fog lights on Mustang V6

i just purchased a V6 grill with fog lights and would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me wire it. I would like to use a relay and the factory v6 switch so the fogs will be on when the low beams are on, but will switch off when the high beams are on. any help is appreciated. i have no real knowledge of the electrical system. what color wire is the power to the low beams? what color power to the high? again any help is appreciated. thank you very much.

welcome to the forums. someone might have the answere, but not me. seems like what you want wont be easy. i would think getting the right switch would be the best option. heres the wiring schematic with the color codes. you`ll have to print it out to get it big enough to read, if it even works.

that didnt work as good as i was hoping, but if you open that attachment, put your mouse over it and click the enlarge cursor, you can see it pretty clear. if you print it in large size, you can get most of it on the paper.

thank you guys very much, those diagrams actually were pretty helpful. i will have to re-do the job with a gt switch following graypony's pics. until then i need help fixing what i broke today... i wired it up this morning before reading your posts with a kit purchased from a local pepboys. it had a 12 volt relay with a fuse and some wire. when i was finished, all worked just fine. followed the instructions on the box. after i switched the highbeams on, the fogs went out and all seemed well, but when switching the highbeams back off all 4 lights went out. now neither the headlights or the fogs will turn on, and there are no blown fuses. there is a very loud clicking sound coming from one of the relays, but no lights will turn on. the yellow driving lights will also not flash when locking the car with the remote... any suggestions?

i dont have the gt grill, but acording to the owners manual, the fogs are suppose to go off when the high beams are on. the lighting system is not 12 volts. thats why wiring a trailer harness is a problem. but it can be done with the proper relays. i still think the regular fog light switch is the best answere, you can run just the parking lights and the fogs,or the lows and the fogs thats kinda cool. but more than anything, that switch will be the easiest to install.

the 3 volt system wont power the relays. you might get lucky just removing the relay and returning it to stock

How many amps are the relays rated? you might have fried the contacts.
