Default 2007 My Color and Exhaust Help :)

Hi Guys, just joined here.
Kind of itchy to install the myColor to my 07 v6 mustang. Did some search on whether one could install by himself or not, but failed to draw any conclusion on that. Could I just buy parts and install it myself? How hard is it?

Also, I am considering install a dual to the stang. Could I install it myself? Say without welding?

Thanks much guys.

You can do it but you'd need Ford to reset the odometer.

Thanks man. I concur on this. Just went to a muffler shop this afternoon and they asked for a price that I can't resist, 300. Will do it tomorrow or this Thursday. Give my V6 some revvvvvvv...

Thanks,
SW

Thanks man. I went to the ford dealer today, they don't even know the kit. Guess I need to consult with other dealers around this area... :P
Pretty itchy on changing it... dual exhaust comes first though.

I did the Mycolor upgrade myself. I got it off ebay. It had at least 2000 miles less than what I had on my orginal cluster. I replace it myself, also gain a few more miles on the warranty. It did turn off my traction control. I went to the dealer for that only, had them reset the computer . Which turn it back on. They did not notice anything, was change. On my car so it was very simple. So I would do it myself, if anything goes wrong, you can always pull it back out. But only thing I see going wrong is the Tc button. and if you get one with more miles, you will cutting your self short off warranty work.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a very good plan! Will start searching on ebay and see how much it would cost. Haynes are always handy if I want to tear apart the cluster, right?

Thanks bud!

Yep, its a true dual from the cat back. They just put regular flowmaster for now. It have a very descent rev when idle, while from 1100 to 2.3k the sound is low tone and aggressive, it continue to be lone tone when rev above 3k.

oh boy, the 1.1 to 2.3k is just LOUD...would be sleepy behind the wheel forever.

SW

Just went to service today, the ford dealer did not deny any warranty, which is good. btw, my 07 has an airbag recall, just a reminder if any 07 here did not have that checked, pls goto your dealer.

The cluster is held in with four nuts. The black trim around it, just pops off. the entire inside of this car comes apart, very quickly. theives can steal the entire inside in under 30 seconds, just kidding. but most of it is just pop into place. not an hard car to work on, inside. dont no about the outside.
