Your problem is probably the brake light switch,which is under the brake pedal.It is sticking open.

Like he said, it's probably just stuck, or damaged. It may need to be replaced.

Instead of letting the battery drain, I would disconnect it until you can troubleshoot it.

I am a neurologist and I need my stang tomorrow for a 500 miles trip.... can I just search for sth interfering between the pedal and the switch? like a solid particle or sth else?
