Heads up for people buying C&L CAI w/ Diablosport Predator

Hey guys I had problems with this yesterday so I thought I would tell you guys so you know.

I bought a package deal (Diablosport Predator and C&L CAI) and installed it yesterday.

The Predator NO LONGER has support for the C&L CAI, I found it out the hard way by spending all day on the phone with their tech support yesterday when the tune made my car crap out. You will have to actually purchase the tune from C&L (which means you have to pay an extra $60 to buy the cables to connect your tuner to your computer)

I dont know if this is always the case but it was for me and this info came directly from the Diablosport people (who are very helpful by the way) I definitely recommend them, they really make sure you are taken care of.

Hmmmm! I wonder who muddied the waters? When I bought my Predator it also was not set up with the C&L tune but it was available on their website and downloads were free. When I installed my C&L cai I got on line and downloaded the C&L tunes from the Predator site to my tuner and then into my car slick as a whistle ( How slick is a whistle by the way?).

Ok, im here, lol. Yea hes right, i read the installation guide and it said if you dont have the C&L tune you can get it from Diablo site. Install manual also said in order to have the tune in your Diablo you should've purchased the C&L7140 directly from their site. So did you fix the problem? Why dont you just buy a custom tune from Bamachips for $50 and it its 10x better than the canned tunes from Diablo. Im just waiting for my SCT to arrive, i cant stop watching her sitting in my room

Let me know if you feel any good gain and how does your intake sounds under WOT

Well the Diablosport guys did a custom tune for me and just emailed it. The tune is great and the combo makes a noticeable difference. Throttle response is the biggest thing I notice. I got the intake and tuner for $500 so I didnt want to buy it directly from C&L.

Rpmoutlet right? I got mine there a couple months back, but sheeoot, that sucks! I wonder why they aren't offering the tune anymore... Weird dude, does the cable really cost 60 bucks? i was told by someone you could pick one up at Best Buy for like 5-10.

Oh yeah, and hey Turanza which Dual Exhaust did you go with? I can't decide, got another GT Muff sitting in my garage but wonderign where to get an x-pipe and mid pipes.

Well I paid $60 for the power cord and the transfer cable. I think you can find both for cheaper though (I could only walk to Radioshack without a running car).

My exhausts are Thunderbolts. They are a knockoff of the Flowmaster 40 series. I DO NOT recommend them. sound great through the gears but LOUD AS **** when cruising on the highway. 70mph and up drone very loud. I drive from Tampa to Miami once a month and the noise really sucks I plan on replacing them in like a year.

I had a shop do a custom job (duals, x-pipe) Im happy with that part of it just not the mufflers.
