Smile RPM drops on Park Mustang 06 v6

I have a Mustang v6 2006 (53K - automatic), for the past few weeks I have encounter a very annoying problem, the RPM drops badly when I changed gear to Park and for the last two days the engine died a few times (on park), I changed the Fuel filter and I still have the same problem, no lights on so far, I'm scare this can be the engine or transmition but I hope is not, can any one help me with this problem!

thanks

I would guess the next step would a re-flash of your computer, since that is what controls the idle rpm. Is the car still under warranty?

I would clean both the throttle body and the mass airflow sensor first. If that doesn't work, I'd suspect the throttle position sensor may be going.

As everyone else has said, take it to your dealer and let them plug it in.

Well that's good news! I attached a picture to show you where the mass airflow sensor is on your Mustang and highlighted it in red.
