Default questions and comments about options i am considering

Ok i have been offered some bassani dual mufflers that where taken off a gt500. Problem I have is that they are designed for a gt500 with a much larger output engine and alot more exhaust flow. Question i would have is what do you guys think the odds are of them sounding CRAPPY??? I can always resell them if need be but dont want that hassle if the sound is not what i would expect.

Also in regards to the diablo tuners and so on. I am wondering if you guys have a choice to do a custum dyno on your car + the tuner vs ordering one online what would you choose. Now granted the custom one is alot more pricey but will it yeild any better resultsn in the tunes for performance and so on.

Crappy is in the ears of the beholder. To me the flowmasters might sound crappy at higher RPM. I think they'll sound just fine. I have GT take-offs and I like them. I don't think the Bassani of GT500 would be much different. But then again I could be wrong.

As for the custom tune vs email tunes, custom tunes will always be better because they are tuned for your car and each car runs slightly different. Is it a huge difference, wouldn't know.

well i did alot of reading and from what i have found is that getting the tuner for around 350 and ordering a semi custom tune from say doug will get you only about a 1-5hp less tune than that of a full custom dyno tune so hard to justify spending the 750 for a tuner + dyno for that small of a gain

Something I recall reading around here. If memory serves they run a little rich. But might want to wait for someone more knowledgeable to either verify it or deny it.
