Default Need Help! Will this tire work for 20" Rim?

Hello i just purchased a set of verde 20 inch rims that look like the bullit style ones. I am searching for tires and found a set that I can get for $250 with 85% tread left. They are 245/45/20. Does anyone know if they would work? O and the front rims are 8.5" wide in the front and 10" wide in the back. Thanks

Well I dont sell tires, but I believe if you have different width of wheels, then you need a different width of tires. I think the new ones will be too narrow, especially on the 10" as my 18x9 are 255

I recommend that you do a 35 side wall height in the front and a 30 in the rear. Just let me know if I can do anything for you.

You need to use a "tire height calculator" here is a link to one (there are many online)

Tire Height Calculator - Wallace Racing

but by using this calculator, we find that those tires have a treadwidth of 9.65, wich means that your front tires will be 1.1 inches wider than their rims at the tread,(cool) and your rears would be .35 narrower than their rim (not cool) although it probably could be done I wouldn't reccomend it, cuz your rear rims will scuff EVERY time you come close to a curb (they will be "pointY). Your tires should be at least slightly wider than your rims in the "perfect" world. If you are carefull though, you could mount them and drive them untill you could afford new rear tires and get a wider section tire at that time. Good luck. Use that calculator, it is fun. I have been immagining I have the money to buy tires like 295/45/18's nitto 555's for a while because I play there all the time (the calculator site I gave you)
Have fun, and don't scuff your rims!
Bill .

You have a staggered rim set up. You will have to use tires with different widths. I'm running 20" Foose Nitrous with the same offset 8.5" in front and 10" in the rear. I have a 255/40/20 in front and a 275/40/20 in the rear. Hope this helps.
