Hey All! I just bought my 06 about 2 weeks ago now---I have wanted this car for a long time! Got a great deal, but I was looking before the "deal" came to town.

Its stock now; plan on CAI this fall, then new shoes next spring. I was thinking about switching to Synthetic oil too; do any of you run synthetic oil? My last car was a 94 Mark VIII--it had the 4.6 LTR V8, and I used Mobile1--seemed to increase the life of the engine, and improve gas mileage by 1-2mpg.

I allways use the synthetic. I have heard that it can increase the life of your engine, and for what I spend on oil changes and how often, it seems like a worthwhile investment to me. If I can squeeze another 50k out of my engine because I used synthetic oil, than I have paid for my oil changes tenfold I figure. Who knows, maybe I'll throw a rod before then, but then if I used regular oil........... would I have thrown it earlier?????? Only the shadow knows.....knows.... knows.............. (Yes I am a dork.)

welcome. CAI is a great idea. I got the C&L intake xcal 3 tuner combo and I run a 93 race tune from bamachips.com It is crazy the difference it makes. As soon as I get some more cash, the 8.8 rear end with 4.10s gears is goin in!
