Default Speaker Vibration

I have a 2007 convertible. I like a lot of bass in most music. When the bass is turned up on the standard speakers there seems to be a lot of vibration in the speakers. They almost sound like they are lose in the housing and moving around. Really does not sound good. Take the bass out and you don't get the vibration.

Has anyone one found a way to fix this? New speakers? New mounting?

Thanks

Are you sure it's the speakers? Mines an 06 Vert and I had similar thoughts, even bought 4 new Pioneer 6x8's. Is it a shaker 500? If so, you have 2 speakers in each door (1 bass and 1 mid) and 2 in the back one on each side. There are quite a few other things in the doors that vibrate. Big culprit is the small panel behind the the inside door handle. That can be fixed with a small dab of silicone. Another culprit is the window switches and they too can be fixed with silicone on the mount points.

I know this is a dumb question but you did check to make sure there isn't anything in the "cubby holes" in the door right? I took mine in the other day because it sounded horrible with bass, I figured it might have blown out or something was loose in the door. Mechanic looked it over and was going to take the door apart and see what he could find. 20 minutes later he came back and showed me the tire pressure guage in the compartment in the door.

The dealer put it in the side door compartment and I totally forgot it was there. Needless to say after it was removed the horrible rattle went away. Most embarrasing thing I have had happen in awhile!

If it's still under warranty maybe the dealer could take a look and firm up anything that is in the door and loose.

Mine rattled like a freight train, and I found it to be the power window switch as someone else said eairler. It is easy to prove as well because if you turn up a song with base and get the vibration, then pull up on your window switches, if it is them.... the rattle will stop when you pull up on them. If it doesn't stop, it is something else. I pulled the panel off and used double stick foam tape to build a cushion for the switch and it worked dandy. Good luck.

OK, I had faced the similar problem, when crack up the volume, both sides of the door start to viberate. I tried to stuff something in between the power window switch and the plastic in front of it. partially solved the problem.

However, after it gets so annoying and I drove to the dealer in warranty, it turns out that it is the inside of the door that hit with the window rotor or something. They add a layer of insulation and the noise is gone.

Strongly suggest you to go to dealer to do this if yours is still under warranty.

Cheer bud.

Thanks guys I have noticed a loud noise in the driver side door when it shuts. Bet somthing is wrong with the switch in side the door.

It is still under warranty. I will have them check it out.

You know what I love my car can not quite washing and waxing it. I have owned many cars but this is the best.
