Default 2007 V6 - JBA H-pipe (WEIRD SMELL)!

alright, I successfully installed my JBA H-pipe set + Overaxle pipes.
-I noticed a very strong odor whenever my car is turned on...
-Is it just the oil/grease burning off the new pipes or the pipes breaking in or w/e? Cuz its making me lightheaded as heck....no leaks either

The rearmost parts of those pipes don't get real hot in normal driving. To get rid of the burnoff-smell/fumes quicker, drive half a mile in second gear at 3000+ mph. That way the heat that escapes through the exhaust will heat them faster than the airflow will cool them.

I learned that after painting my axle-backs with caliper paint. The single on the V6 took a week to "cure" under normal driving conditions. When I put on the FRPP duals, also with painted axle-backs, they cured in just a few minutes, using the fast-engine, slow-car technique.

holy crap batman, thats fast (3000+ mph?) my car is allmost that fast
my jba pipes had that oil smell for a little while also. i was thinking when my gt mufflers start looking bad, i`m gonna paint them with black bbq grill paint. that should hold up well. i was gonna do it right away, but they look nice all clean and shiny new
