Default 2005 Mustang + iPod?

My 2005 Mustang has Aux button on the radio but for the life of me I can't seem to find the port to put it in ("thats what she said" people shut up), please help me at least try to find it.

unfortunately they didnt put the audio jacks in until either 2006 or 07. I think there might be some kind of cable you can get to wire in yourself, or buy a new deck with an ipod connector.

You could always use a itrip or something similar if you dont want to take apart the stereo...

For my 07 V6, the aux button is for switching between satellite radio and "line in", which is the setting it needs to be on to play my ipod. The jack to plug in my ipod was located in the center console behind the shifter. It's just a little hole in the front of the compartment.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think they began putting in this jack until the 07 models, so I don't believe your stang has it. Again, I could be mistaken, but if you have it, that's where it will be located.
And if you do have it, the ipod does not plug directly into the jack. You need to purchase a stereo cable to connect the jack to the ipod. I got mine for like 10 bucks at walmart. If yours doesnt have the jack, the only thing I can thing of is an FM adaptor. I'm sure other people on here have more advice regarding this.

Hope it helps...

Ford made the part. Its called TripTunes Ford FM Modulator for $53. Call any ford dealer part # 6R3Z-19A464-AA. Its easy to install. has a hot and ground wire. It also connects to radios antena, put one in myself. Sounds as good as a CD. Not like the cheap crap from walmart that fades in and out. I've tried those too. I only play my Zone and computer over my stereo now.

Oh the 05's do not have that plug anywhere. Ford told me this part was Fords answer to the ipod problem.

The ones that connect to the wiring harness behind the head unit are the best. They allow you to control the iPod from the head unit and display the song/artist info on the head unit.
