Question Magna-flow or Pypes?

Hey guys, i am getting ready to put dual exhaust on my 07 v6 and i was wondering which kit you guys like best, magnaflow or pypes, i dont know anything about pypes, there products are a lot cheeper then magnaflow and it come with an x-pipe in stead of a y like magnaflow. Also how much difference will there be between the x- and y pipe?

An X will have a bit of a raspier sound to it.

I had a Pypes axles back hated it. There was so much drone it would give me a headache, plus it sounded all buzzy like a ricer.

Default Magnaflow!!!

i have read numerous threads on here as to which exhaust to get alot of people have their own opinions...but the fact of the matter is you have to look into it yourself...however i will say this magnaflow gives a ridic sound to your v6 pony close to a v8

dude, if your trying to make your 6 sound like the gt, give up, it will never happen no matter what exhaust we buy, we have an even fireing order, they have an odd one, ours will have a much more smoothe exhaust note while their's is choppy

ok, just making sure, all the "i want to sound like a gt" questions annoy the hell out of me. look into the dynomax dual system, it sounds really good IMO, deep agressive idle, low rpms nice smoothe tone, higher rpms really nice but slightly raspy growl. this was before my supercharger.

i went with the pypes agrressive mufflers and full dual setup. yes it has a drone sound, but people tell me it sounds incredible. yes not a v8 but sounds and looks great, i am very happy, sound mean as hell when you get on it. i still fool people to thinking i have a gt, with the pony package emblems on it. i must have done a good job modding!

You really don't have to go with the Y set up, though it does save you a bit on gas I believe.

There are lots of good sounding exhaust systems out there. I currently have a custom H pipe resonated to borla stingers and it really does sound amazing. Has a nice deep growl to it for a 6.

I'd just browse to see what you like, cause that's what matters at the end of the day.

I'll try to make a vid of my exhaust for you tomorrow.

If your worrying about the Y from magnaflow, my advice don't worry at all, I have a Mac dual exhaust with Y and it still sounds awesome. H or X will change the sound but not that much you think, most sound comes from your mufflers. I have a sound clip on the exhaust section, last page check it out to see if you like the kit. Its a Mac exhaust with Y-Y conversion

the y-y is using the y pipe that comes with the kit, mounted after the stock y pipe. sort of a makeshift x pipe.
