Default Superchips Tuner

Jegs auto parts is going to have a superchips tuner ready for me to pick up on friday of this week. Right now my car is running lean and the check engine light is on. So with this tuner, i should be able to plug it in and it will automatically tune my car for my cold air intake and dual exhaust right? The guy at jegs told me that it comes with a slightly above stock tune, but sometimes i dont trust the counter people, do any of you have experience with this brand, and do you think it will correct my problem with running lean?

Is it the Superchips Flashpaq? Others have had issues with those. I'd get an SCT X3!

+1

Are you just running a canned superchip tune? If so I would say thats not gonna help to much, you should at least get it custom tuned.

I have been looking at the SCT, i am now starting to lean more towards that. There is a x3 and a sf3 that they sell. The x3 is custom tunes and the sf3 has preloaded ones and custom. Both are the same price, the x3 seems to have better reviews. Which one should i get? American muscle offers a custom tune for free, if i were to anwser all of there questions, this custom tune would make my car quit running lean right?

go to bamachips.com and check out their xcal3. It comes with 3 custom tunes of your choice for about 380.

usually people tend to get 93 race 93 torque, and some level octane of performance.

Hope that helps

I think i am going to order my tuner off of bamachips.com. I was wondering what custom tune would be best to clear the check engine alarm and make my car not run lean? If i just enter on the website what mods i have and all my vehicles info, would he be able to create a custom tune for 87 octane fuel to allow my car to run less lean?

Any of the tunes from bama will clear your problem. The 93 race is what I run and it makes a huge difference, and its the fastest. It clears some of the throttle lag, better shifting, and it reads and clear codes. You get three tunes from bama, I got the 93 race, 93 torque, and 87 performance(economical purposes). I have only good things to say about bamachips.

Brenspeed can also get you the x3 plus three custom tunes for $379. They are a highly reputable programmer, as well...

so running the 87 performance tune should allow my car not to run lean and basically clear this check engine light right?
