Default GT driveshaft in a V6?

Hi guys i've been looking into a new driveshaft to support higher
speeds. I will also be getting 4.10's soon and since this will cause
the driveshaft to spin faster...(thanks blackpony)... I will need to
improve on the driveshaft.

Newtakeoff.com has a gt takeoff driveshaft. Since Gts are rated
around 150 i figure that their driveshafts must be good up to those
speeds as well.
Mustang GT Driveshaft 2005-2008

1. Will this driveshaft fit on a 7.5 rear end?

2. If not, is there anyway to make it fit besides buying a 8.8?

thanks

No it won't fit without some fabrication. Get yourslef a Powerhouse driveshaft made for your V6.

PowerHouse Automotive V6 Man. 4" Aluminum Driveshaft [PHA-DS05V6 MAN] - $589.99 : Powerhouse411

yeah the only problem with that is its antoher 600 bucks. I'm looking for a cheaper way to do this. Do any other ford driveshafts fit 7.5's and are able to get up to higher speeds?

I wouldn't trust the GT OEM driveshaft any more than the V6.

i dont want to argue with you but isn't it rated around 150 mph?

stl, in your opinion do you think the 4.10s will cause driveshaft failure at speeds below what would regularly cause failure? becuase if not or its very minor then i will wait to buy an aluminum driveshaft.

I'm just nervous because it makes sense what black pony said.

The gears themselves aren't going to cause the driveshaft to fail. I do think that an aluminum driveshaft and safety loop is the way to go..
