Where to find Leather replacement seats 2005 v6 Mustang?
Where can I find Leather replacement seats for a 2005 v6 mustang.
Looking for a good quality site with good pricing...sub-$1000 price range would be great. Willing to accept OEM Leather Seat covers as an alternative. Looking for Black Leather. Front and rear seats.
Newtakeoff.com has dark charcoal (the darkest factory color available) factory leather seat covers for 2005-2008 Coupes without side air bags for $350.

I have Black Interior from all the moldings to the ceiling and floor carpet, and it was like that from the factory. Is there anyone who sells black leather with similar pricing to newtakeoff. My friend seems to think that it would not be a big difference if I went with dark charcoal, but looking at the picture at newtakeoff. It clearly doesn't match my interior. Does anyone have any pics of dark charcoal seats with black interior molding and carpet?
Xcharger with water injection, JBA headers

glad someone brought this topic up.
i want to upgrade to the oem leather.
how do you do it? does it slip over the v6 interior, or do you have to remove the seats and hog ring the leather on. is it hard?
It's a job for the patient. I did it on the RX-7, took me all weekend to do both buckets and headrests.

Youre lucky you dont have side airbags. The first task i tackled after i got my car was upgrading from cloth to leather and let me tell you, it was hell trying to find those seat covers.
For seats without airbags, keep checking eBay and eventually youll find them cheap, or go to v6mustangstuff.com or newtakeoffs.com if youre willing to shell out 350
The install itself is a huge pain, whereas the back seats can be done in around a half hour, the front buckets took my father and I around 3 hours (and a good helping of blood sweat and beers) to complete. I used the original hogrings and a pair of needle nosed pliers but looking back id recommend hog ring pliers and a set of larger hog rings. The writeup on 4.0collective is a must.
I installed the takoff parts GT leather covers three weeks ago. I also installed a driver seat heater kit while everything was taken apart. As stated the back seat is a piece of cake but the fronts are a challenge. The hardest part was getting the plastic J channels to hook up when you install the new parts. This is how the flaps from the back rest hook together and the seat bottom. It took alot of hand strength and a friends help to get it done. I didn't bother with the hog rings. On the seat bottom the hogs rings go from the bottom and through a metal rod stitched into the seat bottom to pull the channel down(about where your lower thighs touch the seat). I used thick nylon tie straps which were more than strong enough and easier to use than the hog rings. It also worked out well with the electric seat heater pads. Since it is fresh in my mine PM me if you are going to attempt this and need details.
