I'm doing my first mod to my car after I bought it a month ago. I'm almost certain I'm going with the H-pipe and some 40-series flowmasters. What are some that sound good. If it matters it's an '07 auto.

Magnaflow 80 series sounds really good..
you could try going axle-back if you like.
look at magnaflow.
they have sound clips there.
First get the headers, then Hi-flow cat, H-pipe, and then try something new.
run them out the side.
single out in front of each rear wheel.
that would look swweet.

You can't do side exhaust on the 5th generations because the mufflers are at the back of the car directly below the trunk whereas they used to be under the front seats. Other than that I'm calling two muffler shops to ask about those Magnaflows. I'm not going to do headers for a while because I don't have a whole lot of money. I'm still in high school and I have an ok job but nothing special. Keep the ideas coming guys.

i went h pipe and gt takeoffs. i`m real happy with it, but if your looking for really loud gt`s arent.they do sound pretty good gettin it on for the money

I went with the single flowmaster exhaust, and it is plenty loud for me. I was considering dual, but from what I heard, the dual flowmasters drone pretty annoyingly. I guess I have never actually heard them in person, that's just what I've read. I'm sure there are some on here who actually have them, so hopefully they will chime in...

The H pipe with the Flows sounds good. Very throaty at idle. Just drone. It'll sound better too if you get a CAI.

The best choice is either Borla or Flowmaster hands down! To make things clear they do come with a Side Exhaust for the 5th gen v6 mustangs. You'll find it on https://www.cervinis.com/

Headers won't do much for you performance or sound-wise; the stock ones are pretty good. You might see 1-2hp out of them but the sound will be the same. Buy headers if you want to get rid of the ugly rusty stock look, otherwise keep the stockers.

With that having been said you can find some pretty reasonably priced stainless steel headers on eBay.

Got a quote on dual super 44's welded with 3.5" tips and an H-pipe out the door for $602. I think that's what I'm gonna do.

I couldn't wait 4 more days so I went up to Pronto Muffler and got my dual exhaust done. It sounds AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend super 44 flowmasters to anyone.
