Default Blow-off valves? Anyone done it?

Anyone done blow off valves on a Mustang? The idea has intrigued me but I'm unsure about cost and installation and such.

Read your signiature, your car doesn't seem to have forced induction. Do you have a turbo or supercharger set-up installed or are you planning on installing one?

are we talking for a t/c system, or the fake ones you put in your exhaust?

It wont sound good at all on Mustang, i wouldnt call it rice because you actually need it in order to expand the life of your turbo because of the compressor surge and it sounds kinda cool. I had a TurboXS RFL on my Dodge Daytona and it was really nice, but this is not for Mustang, even with Turbo personally i would install a quiet one so its kinda sleeper.

You don't need a blow off valve to extend the life of a turbo charger, a bypass valve works just as, is street legal and quiet. The difference is that a blow off valve releases the pressure into the atmosphere (no filtering), a bypass recirculates the pressure.

I think if you have the right set-up, they sound good on any car. My personal favorite is the HKS super sequential blow off, installed it on one of my older cars and it sounded incredible.

My opinion, if there is a purpose for the part (true functional) and it isn't overly irritating to others, it's not rice.

My bypass valve sounds amazing on my mustang.... not ricer at all, an HKS BOV would be alittle much
