basics, get a tuner, cai combo(jlt, c&l, de molet intakes with sct or diablo tuner of your choice), get that crappy restrictive exhaust in the garbage, get an axleback or go big and get a full system, and a custom tune(bama, tillman, brenspeed) from there you can get gears, 3:73 or 4:10, t-loc, maybe get both already installed in an 8.8 from new takeoffs.com, then you can go s/c or t/c for big numbers. do some research and find what you like and what you can afford.

if your really looking for good bang for your buck i would just just put in steeper gears... 4.10's, a tuner (sct), and upgrade to better tires.

Aftermarket muffler or full exhaust system, cold air intake with a custom program, limited slip differential, taller gears and some sway bars will give you a fairly aggressive street car.

Add an aluminum drive shaft, some lowering springs, adjustable panhard bar and a strut tower brace and you'll have a really useful cornering machine that can easily outrun your average sports car (if you know how to drive fairly well).

Or you could always do it the EASY way and just buy a turbo or supercharger setup.

What everyone has suggested to you should give you plenty of info on what you can do to these V6's.Figure out what suites you and what you want out of your Mustang and have fun modding it up.Can't go wrong on any of the advice from these guys on the forum. They have been very helpful for me IMHO.

i havent had the money to do much all at once. if you want to go slow, first thing i would do is order a set of gt takeoff mufflers. ninosport.com has some( as do some other sites) around 80.00. you can put one on now and you will like it alot. it will run and sound way better. plus you`ll have the other muffler when your ready to go with dual exaust. when you make that move, you will like your car alot more, while your planning your next move.

Yep, exhaust is a good first step.

Then CAI and race tune.

Then maybe 8.8 with 3.73/4.10.

Then aluminum driveshaft.

I did mine in steps, roughly like that.

Right after I put in my exhaust, some random guy in a new Corvette tried to race me.

I just looked over and laughed and said, "No thanks "

I don't know what he was thinking, haha.

hmm I wonder how a gt with 4.10s would take off with a corvette... Oviously the corvette is going to win, but I wonder if the gt would get a good jump off the line.

i dunno, if that was the only mod, id say youd still be staring at the rear end of the vette assuming both drivers were good.
