Default quick exhaust install ?

whats goin on guys? i know yall get alot of questions on exhaust but i need some quick help. I have a v6 that im tryin to install a gt take off. Do i need an exhaust bracket or an exhaust hangar? i know this is a dumb question but please indulge my stupidity. My for dealer is out of the stock pieces so can i get universal one from advance auto or something like that?

Thanks

I think it recommended to replace the hanger but I didn't on my first flowmaster and I had no problems.

You should get the bracket from ford or a salvage yard, over time the unhung side will start to drop down, and it can quickly develop rattles and leaks.

the only thing you need to replace that muffler is a end wrench( or socket) if it doesnt hang just like you want it, you can pull it back off and bend those 2 hanger bars a little to change it. you will have to remove one hanger off the v6 muff since the gt only has 2. the v6 has 3. there are 2 bolts on each hanger to the frame. i think i pulled all the brackets off, slipped the hanger onto the muffler, then hung the muffler with the bracket bolts. once you get one bolt started on one bracket it will hang there for you. once you get it lined up like you want it, then tighten the pipe clamp where it fits onto the over axle pipe. its easier than this sounds probably

i was able to use a air ratchet and a ext. to zip those bracket bolts off and on, but one bolt on the frt bracket between the muffler and frame i used a end wrench( you`ll see the bolt when you check it out good). i ran one gt for a while then went to dual. if i read this right, you are just changing the single? you dont need any parts for that. its pretty easy to do. some guys have done it with no jack even, but its easier if you jack up that side of the car too. you will like that gt muffler alot, i do

i went to the ford dealer and bought 2 more hangers,80.00, because i didnt like the the way the hangers that came with the jba h pipe kit fit. the hanger bolt holes are allready in the frame ready to go. same install as the right side.

Default r duals done?

duals aren't to hard to install, you just have to do a little tweaking so nothing rubs or rattles, when you think you got it grab it around the axle and give it somme hard quick pulls, if nothing hits you should be good. look at the tail pipes to make sure they are even.
the first show right now I'm planning for is Young ford in april, hope I find one sooner, I changed my paint...no more stripes.

About the hangers, I got a set of Borlas and all the muffler shop did was weld them with some hangers that they have, no extra cost as they were doing the whole conversion of single to duals. I noticed that the factory hanger actually had a lot of vibration so they welded both sides and now they are not only stable but they sound great. good luck with however you decide

KBD makes an aftermarket front bumper called the Cobra R2000. I put it on with the stock rear gt bumper. Everything looks good.
Damn, I got the exhaust installed and now it rattles like a SOB! I bough some universal mounts from Advance Auto and welded them to the driver side i think that one of them have broken and thats why its rattlin. ugh.
