Default 2005 Mustang V6 JLT Sheild homemade bracket

i guess if you have abs you are suppose to wire tie to the tubing. if you dont have abs you wire tie to the holes in the core support. i didnt like the look of the wire tie so i made a steel bracket. holds things alot better in place. i also changed from using the stock air box rubber washer and bolt to a 1 in x 1/4 thick rubber washer( it was rubbing just a little on the hood blanket)

no, that first one was outside in the sun, today i just made the bracket, its a rainy day and its half in the garage, kinda dark. thought it was a good day to do it. really, jlt should have something a little better than a cheap after thought fix. thats what i thought it looked like

Your bracket looks real good. It's too bad that you had to figure out something to make it fit correctly.Have you thought about e-mailing JLT about what you had to do for the CAI to fit properly?

thanks clinton, i was kinda limited to my small pile of scrap metal, but i found something to cut, grind, drill, paint and fit. i`m sure someone could make something alot nicer, but even this beat the wire tie method. i might try to email them. maybe down the road the next guy might get a bracket with his

thats looks amazing, if i wasnt so lazy and incompetent i would do the same thing... i even lost my wire tie, but the rubber padding i stole off the airbox has worked so far.

thanks man. i talked to jlt, they are trying to keep the cost down, so they wont be supplying brackets. but thats cool, and its a easy fix. the jlt does the job. i`m sure it fits nice to everyone that has the abs mounted there in the corner. i got the cheaper model
