okay so my speedometer only reads 120mph. is there actually a way i can make it go up to like 160mph or 140 mph. where can i actually get it done. is it possible. cause i want to know how fast im going. help me out.
I think you can take the gauge cluster out of a GT or order the white face gauge cover for the GT or the GT500 I know you can install a GT500 Gauge in a GT so you should be able to in a v-6 just the Boost gauge wont work.
Call ford and ask their parts Department how much for a GT or GT500 gauge cluster or look to aftermarket.
Hope this helps.

Well hopefully you know the risks of going that fast, not only are you putting your life and the lives of others in danger but you also are risking breaking your stang. The drive shaft is known to fail above 120 and the stock tires are not rated for that speed. That being said, you can swap the entire cluster out for a gt or takeoff. I know saleen's goes up to 200.

I suppose I would prefer one that goes up to 140 but since I do not go over 120 it does not matter a whole lot to me. Yea I have seen a lot of gauge stuff on Ebay for mustangs.

If you're just looking for a once or twice check on your speed, some of the tuners give you running mph. You just have to tape the cable out of the way and put the tuner on the dash somewhere where you can see it without it falling down under your feet.

I was was told that it cuts off at approximately 120mph and to overcome that (if you have a manuel tranny) shift into 4th, pull the E-brake to one click and put it down, and keep going!
I haven't tried this myself, but I haven't gone above 100mph myself.

So I'm not sure how accurate this is.
Whoever told you that wants to see you do some 360's down the road. Pulling the emergency brake any amount at that speed would be a suicidal death wish. Don't do it!

thats a real bad idea. i cant believe someone told you to do that. dependeing how your ebrake cable is adjusted( and everyone of them is gonna be different) you could crash and burn going 100 mph.

There is some money and aggravation involved in putting a higher grade speedo in your car. Assuming you have addressed the mechanical issues of gong faster than 120 you probably will not be going there too often. Consider using a GPS to give you your actual speed.
