Default The Question about 20" 10.5 J rear wheel.

i was wondering if a pair of 20 x 10.5 rear rims would fit on the rear of my 06 v6 without rubbing anything or interfering with the brakes? i plan to run the 20"X8.5 or 20X9 rims on the front. any opinions or advice? Thanks and happy new year!

Yes they will rub, I can see using the cobra 18" but 20's on a stang is just not right

+1 i agree with that, 20's is too much for an American Muscle car in my book

They'll only fit if you use like a 315/30/20 tire which is like a 300 dollar tire at least. If you really want to spend that much on your tires then go for it

I am currently running the 20" Foose Nitrous staggered set up on my GT with no problems. 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in the rear, tire is a toyo 255/40/20 in front and 275/40/20 in the rear. Guess it comes down to personal preference.

...and how slow you want to go over bumps?

RegencyGT, your stang looks awesome, really love the sleek look. But when you say "no problems," I assume you mean exercising major caution in and out of driveways, over speed bumps and dips? Correct? I will be lowing mine very soon and looking at different wheels, so wanted the real scoop! Thanks.

The lowering kit makes the ride a lot more stiff and YES you will have to take it easy over speed bumps and driveways, small price to pay for your ride to look the way you want it to!

The tires I had in that pic are smaller than the ones I have now. I have a larger side wall now, better ride.

I also run 20x10 Gianelles in the back, and 20x8 1/2 in the front, with low profile Nittos. I have the eibach lowering springs installed, no rubbing issues of any kind, many compliment's. As stated before, it is a preference issue.

I have Foose 20s on mine and no proplems. I believe my rear are 20 x 10.5 and no rubbing.
This car is fine with the 20s, but any s197 I ever get in the future will have no larger than 19s or most likely 18s because of the more popular tire selection.

same here, 20s do not rub even if your lowered and imo they arent too much at all, mustang wheel wells are massive, you either have a little more metal or a little more rubber, both fill out the well nicely, just depends on what you like.
