im doing burnouts on my auto v6 mustang by holding the brake with my left and gas with my right foot, but only my back left wheel spins. what do i need to do to get both wheels to burnout and not only one.
You need a differential in your rear end, sometimes called t-lock. Or a Limited Slip. It costs around 200, and give power to both of your back wheels, instead of just one as all stock V6 cases. Installations vary by area, but its about the same cost as the gear itself.
You need to upgrade your suspension to do that. Unfortunately v6 stangs from the factory can only do burnouts with one tire. You can upgrade it easy enough though, its a pretty common mod for most sixers. I'm sure they will chime in for a good spot to buy a LSD.

This is a huuuuuuuuge deal here, the main question, is "is it worth upgrading a 7.5 inch rear end" or " buy an 8.8 inch rear end ready to go" and usually, the answer is to build your 7.5 will be slightly cheaper. Right now though, there are people offering CRAZY deals on posi (that is what you want posi means BOTH wheels spin) 8.8 rear ends for less than what it will cost for you to have a posi installed on yours. Figure $200 for the posi for your 7.5 incher, and then figure another 350-400 for install and setup. Ok, now you have invested $600 on your axle, and what do you have? A 7.5 posi with 3.31's. For about $750-800 you could have an 8.8 with 3.55's or for $900 a 4.10 ratio, DELIVERED!!!!!!!! Which is the better deal, build it, or buy it? I say buy it. (at least until prices go back up.) Don't do anything to your rear end, buy a GT takeoff. In the end it will be more cost effective. (notice I didn't say cheaper) but more cost effective.
+1 on what billthecougnut said.Plus if you still have the stock muffler on your car,get rid of it.A GT takeoff muffler is usually the least expensive way to go.If wanting REAL LOUD,look at flowmaster, mac, pypes, etc. The muffler change alone will free up 7-10 HP on your car.

I rented a Hertz 09 v6 auto vert in FL a few months back and could not get any of the wheels to spin at a stand still on dry pavement no matter how hard I tried. I found a puddle of water and was then able to get one of them spinning. It was about 85*F and sunny so maybe the rubber stuck a little better, but I was surprised that I couldn't get one to light up.

thats how my 05 was to begin with. now with a few mods i can smoke( my tire) through first and second with the stock 3.31 gears if i let it get away.(my next step is a posi.) what a difference.

Back when I had an 05 v6 auto I really couldn't get the tires to spin unless it was wet out so it wasn't just the car you were in.

Cost of 7.5 posi: $250
Cost of gears: $200
Cost of installing posi/gears: $400
Realizing afterwards that you should have just bought a GT takeoff in the first place.............
PRICELESS!
Not when you paid $200 for your traction lock carrier and $500 for the gears, bearings and installation of it all. Too bad I didn't know 8.8's would end up being the same price as building my rear. I waited two years to build it and six months afterwards the prices on the 8.8's dropped drastically.
