Haha. Not saying I could beat you currently... although I did beat my buddy in his 2003 GT... because his reaction time was like 2.3 seconds lol. He was looking at something when the christmas tree turned green :P Still give him crap about that

well figure your gonna need 100more hp to take a stock gt on so most likely some sort of forced induction.

Ive beaten stock gts from the previous generation. A cai, tune, exhaust, underdrive pullies, aluminum drive shaft, and 4.10 gears and you should be able to take a stock 2005+ gt in the 1/8 and possibly 1/4.

I've beaten auto GT's before with what I have listed, but I am 100% certain it was driver related.

i've taken a few. i have the diablo sport programmer, cai, shaker assist, 70mm tb, udp, coils, msd wires, shorty headers, 2.5" true dual with x-pipe and exhaust cutouts, rear upper and lower control arms, aluminum driveshaft,8.8 rear end with 3.73 and t-lock,gt springs, bama race tune, hurst competition short throw shifter that does not rattle,17"s perrelli's. from 0-100 i had them by about 3 car lengths, one had flowmasters that i know of. other than that i think they were all stock. from 60-120 i normally had about 1.5 car lengths.

Those gts only have 2:73 rear end gear in them!!
Your 4:10 gear alone would have gotten him!!!

alright alright
that guy with the turbo yea u got me!
and stock i got 3.27's... i think the old sn95 had those dreaded 2.73's
and if you need 100+ because i weigh less and got all the torque.

honestly guys no hard feelings for the 6.... especially s197 6's because they really can do some crazy s**t.

My buddy and I went for it stock for stock. My 2005 v6 vs. his 1998 GT 'vert.

Beat him... A couple times.

Now i've got cai/tune, 3.73's/posi, exhaust and he's got a cai and exhaust. We haven't had time to clock in again yet. Maybe later this year at Qualcomm.

it doesnt take much to take a an older GT if you have an s197 maybe a cai/tune exhaust, and gears (maybe not even those), and you should spank a few older STOCK gt's, but with the new ones its much harder. maybe with cai/tune, UDP's, 4.10 gears, ignition upgrade, exhaust, short throw shifter. that should be enough to take a 2005+ gt
