okay I'm looking for a performance shop that pretty much specializes in mostly mustangs in the chicago land area. I am not lookin for a shop that have dumb specialist that leave scratches on ur car or end up fooling with ur car in any other way..I've heard plenty of stories, I'm sure u have too. So if there is any highly recommended shops that anybody knows about let me kno. Thanks guys

Whatever you do stay way FAR away from "MUSTANG OF CHICAGO", They are in bensenville illinois on irving park road......Youll get service there but be prepared (jar of vasaline will be handy) to pay. The only way they do anything for anyones car is if you buy your parts from them (worst than a stealership) and they do all the work on the car (Hang on lemme put down this can o beer to get ya da price for that SCREW i gotsa sell ya). I can hook ya up with a certified ford mechanic that does side work for a fraction of the cost and does all the work CORRECT. He has done all the work on both my 05 and my wifes 09 mustangs. You may also want to stay away from "CHICAGO PARTS AND SOUND" In wood dale illinois They are an authorised ford racing dealer but they are WAY out of the ballpark with the costs...Dealer installed frpp performance pack install was over priced by almost 600 compared to what my FORD DEALER charged for the install, And that was supposed to be a deal according to the guy who quoted it for me.....Happy Stangin

i recommend doing everything yourself, car work is more intimidating than it really is. i never saw under a hood till i was 16 and now i'm fixin' to do a tranny swap on my mustang. start small like changing oil or something but i never let anyone do anything to my car (except for NTB when they do my alignments)
