i was at the drag strip and every run i made at 80 miles an hour..the car wont shift rpm goes high and then it stops then at 85 did it again..i dont get what the problem is..its a 07 mustang v6

i have bbk cold air,bbk throttle body,vortex spacer,scream demon coil with livewires,3:73 gears with posi..pypes headers and gt take off diablosport with bamachips 91 tune...ya i had od off...i ran a 14.7 at 86 miles an hour and at 1/8 ran 9.3 at 74..he kept hanging up between thrid and drive

wow sounds like the tranny is slipping gears which is odd take it in to the dealership have them drop the tranny and look at it

how many miles on the car? if your over 30.000 hard miles, you might want to get the trans flushed and re-filled. it shouldnt need a filter, and the filters dont really do much, its just a screen( guess to catch chunks of gears and bushings) but first i would try loading a different tune and see if it still does it.

I thought once you go over 40 miles, you should have the OD on, so it will kick into 5th gear. I thought without it, it stays in 4th.

in normal driving, ya, just leave it on all the time. for balls to the wall 1/4 mile stuff, or nailing it from a slow roll, turn it off.

ok good to know, I feel Like I am In school I learn so much from you Stang Heads. Good stuff, What did we do before the internet? I guess go to dearlership and get rip off. This is why they are losing money, we share to much info, really dont need them that much anymore. We are the reason economy is doing bad. maybe I should not speakof this online. forget I said it.

i reprogrammed it to stock and it went smooth all thur the gears..i put any tune off the diablosport it does it so my tuner must be messing up the pcm

i would have contact whoever does your tunes and see what they can do about it

Yeah call up doug at bama and Im sure he will try to fix you up. Thank goodness its not the tranny, they can be expensive.
