Default GT takeoff muffler vs. Ford racing dual exhaust

So basically ever since the single gt takeoff, I've been craving a little bit louder exhaust system for my v6. My question is to those who have either owned, or heard in person the FRPP dual exhaust for the v6. Is it any louder than a single GT takeoff? About the same? Worth the $?? I saw this clip on youtube, and it sounds great..but the sound on youtube isn't always 100% accurate.

I'm running the original FRPP's duals, not the current ones and absolutely love them. Ran a single GT take-off for a while, it was nice, but just not enough.

I ran the single GT takeoff muffler for quite a while, then changed to the FRPP dual conversion with GTAs. Eventually they were too loud for me in the convertible, so I put the two GT takeoffs on the V6 and the GTAs on the GT/CS, and I am very happy with both.

Hear, here:

Yes they are much louder. If you are gonna change up the exhaust, go ahead and do for duals. They are a bit louder, with the xpipe I feel a LITTLE bit more power, but the coolest thing is they look great. And this is off topic but do yall like the taillight blackouts on the black mustang like in the video?

I have the FRPP dual exhaust. I love it. It is not only louder but is surprisingly deep for a v6. I would reccomend it. I actually went ahead and did the ford racing power pack upgrade with the CAI and tuner. I can tell a noticeable difference in accelleration. Save up a little extra and go that route.

i have an 08 gt and i took the axle back mufflers off and its quit loud.it is loud than the frpp. i still have the cats on it and i plan on removing them.. and on the side note of the blacked out tail lights.. heck yeah.. if you have a black car do it!!! and the rear bumper lights and the front turn signals.. it'll look great during the the day when there off and will still be red and amber when you turn them on...

I would take off the cats you'll lose back pressure (which means you'll lose tq) and I have heard it can mess up the CPU of the car. Just get high flow cats.

As for the FFPR mufflers I have heard them in person and they are a little louader and A lot deeper. I just could not get myself to spend that kind of money on something that wont help me go faster.

I originally put the FRPP duals (Bullitts) on my 2007 convertible and found them to be too loud for my taste. Perhaps if I had more under the hood to back up the sound, but with just a 4.0 six and a CAI I prefer for my bite to be able to back up my bark. I switched to some GT takeoffs and am very happy. They sound great and I can still hear the stereo at a moderate volume level.
