I have an airaid CAI, borla muffler, and sct xcal 3 tuner.
I've ordered and will be installing 4.10 gears and t-lok in the near future.
i want to try out nitrous as my next big mod after the gear swap. i don't know much about what i will need to add it but i've done a little research on the zex wet nitrous system and i've decided i want to start with just a 75 shot.
What will i need to do to get ready for the nitrous? Will i need to use my factory air intake? Will i need a new tune? Will i need to restore to factory tune? Do i need any reinforcement? New spark plugs?
Any help is very much appreciated. If you think you have any tips please post and help me out. Even if you think its common knowledge...i probobly don't know it
with a 75 shot of nitrous u dont need to change ur tune, but if u go more than seventy five shot u hafta retard the timing. if u r using a tune that has changed ur timing u will hafta go back to stock timing. the zex kit for the gt will work on ours. just be sure and use the 75 shot jets. u can run it with nothing more than what comes in the zex kit. u probably want a window switch so the nos doesnt come on at to low of rpm. the mustang kit is wired into the electronic throttle so it will kick on at wide open throttle. u may also want a purge kit so u can make sure there is no air in the lines before u race. u could also get a bottle warmer so that u maintain the same bottle pressure no matter how full the bottle is. that is next on my list, and theres extras like remote bottle opener and things like that.

the window switch definatley seems like a must have. if you spray at too low of rpms you can really jack your car up. nitrous is probab;y the cheapest way to get performane you want, id say with 75 shot, youll touch high 13s mayb mid if youre good. to me the only drawback is filling the bottle, and there is more presence of endangering you motor, you never really know how much you car can take untill you push it just a little too hard.

as far as our cars go and which type is better, wet is the way to go. The most popular choice is zex as a brand.
