If your hitting bottom on speed bumps there is no doubt somethings is wrong. After I had mine installed the guy that installed them and I went for a test drive and worked our way up to 70mph over speed bumps with no problem, except flying out of our seats. The ride is much more bouncy though, especially at high speeds. I was playing around right after I got mine around 120mph and going over a patchs of uneven pavement about sent me into the barrier. Hopefully you did just get a bad set of spings that can be fixed and nothing major is wrong. Good luck.

Do you think you got the Sportline springs by mistake? They are a 2" drop in back.
Sportline are red and pro kit are black, mine are black. BUT, you never know, they could be labeled wrong, that is what Eibach is checking out. That would mean they were painted the wrong color...yikes! Thanks, Don

I bit rear bottom going 5MPH over average bumps. And like I mentioned before, I have to go over 10-12 a day (no way out of it). So you can see why I am concerned.

UPDATE: I spoke to Eibach again today. The tech bumped me up to his director. They are going to have me come in and install a custom set of springs that will raise it by 3/4 inch (1.5 instead of 2.25). I can do this because they are only 15 minutes away. Bad news is that they can not schedule me until first week of Feb. I figure this is not too bad since the springs may settle more by then (close to four weeks) and we'll know the full story.
Think I should put in better shocks when they change out the springs? Would it be odd to put new shocks in with the stock struts? (new struts are much more expensive and costly to install)
BTW: The bump stop is not the problem, there is about 5 inches between it and the Axel. The bottoming-out is the actual rear of the car hitting the speed bump...only slightly, but it does.

when i had mine installed the guy put em in upside down. it made my car sit way low, looked like i was always launching. i made him put it on the lift and i turned them over myself, he was busy with another car so i told him i would do it if i could use the lift. no problems now, brought me back up about 1/2 in from where i was. now it looks great and rides better than before(when it was upside down). i dont think you can get much smoother ride than stock haha, BUT i also have 20's and knew what i was getting into so i cant complain, im content for now..if you want to check, squat down and look at your rear springs. if the eibach logo is upside down, the spring is upside down. if i had to guess either both springs are upside down or one is, making the other side squat more which is where youre getting such a low measurment. just my .02

I had to get the numbers off the springs for Eibach and was able to read the numbers correctly (right side up). The smaller part of the spring was up. So I guess that means they are in right.

I bet you ended up with sportline rear springs. Snafu's like that happen once in a while, but I gotta tell ya brotha... I think it looks tight. I wouldn't change a thing excep maybe you can buy a slightly taller tire in back to ofset the "rake" that you don't like. A 1/4 inch or even 1/2 inch taller tire looks good in back, will fill the well nicely, and you will be back to level or even a bit of a forward rake. I like it, as far as the speed bumps go, that happens with my PRO KIT, it is just something you have to adjust to.
If Ebach is going to replace the springs I'd say make em replace the front too its your time, and while you are there have them throw in a new pair of struts and shocks they will have the car apart anyhow. You will never be happy with the ride with stock shocks and struts on a lowered mustang. Its a chance for free labor so bite the bullet and get some new struts and shocks ride will be so much better.

Not a bad idea. I really like the look. Have to do something about the reverse rake though. It may be slight but I do notice it. The more weight in the car the more it is visible as well. Thanks.

Hey, maybe I'll see if they'll get me some new wheels while I'm at it I do agree about the dampers though. I may have to move on those soon than I thought. Should have done them when I got it lowered...obviously!

So I was thinkin about it, and wondering how a new set of springs would make your differential lower, and the answer I came up with is is THEY CAN'T. The distance beteen the bottom of your tires and the bottom of the diff hasn't changed since the springs have been put on, so I wonder if your pinion angle has changed enough to make the pinion stick down lower than it did in the past, and that is what is hitting. That is the only geometry that would change with the springs. There is a way to re-adjust that, but I am not a suspension guy and I don't know wich part adjusts that. Maybe the rear controll arms? I am pretty sure its not the panhard bar, but those bars that come forward from both sides of the axle and connect to the body. an adjustable set of those and you might be golden.
