Default Sequential Tail Light Construction

Does anyone know how the 05+ sequential tail lights work?

I've installed two separate sets on my 2009. The first one malfunctioned after 1 day, the second after 2 days! Basically, the lights start to flash together.

They looks sweet when they're working, but when one side doesn't flash sequentially any more, they look completely stupid.

Has anyone else had problems like this? I don't get the point if I have to keep swapping them out. Are the electrics easy enough I can fix on my own?

Where are you getting your sequential modules? I would just go back to the manufacturer and tell them that your sequencers are defective.

Is it the splice-in kind, or plug & play?

If it's a splice-in, are you sure that you are installing in correctly?

I got the stack racing plug in ones.

I called american muscle and it might be the ground wire. I knew I should've grounded the socket, but the instructions didn't make any mention of it.

My high school physics teacher from years ago would be grossly disappointed.

I will give it a shot and see if it works. American muscle said they would replace it if it still didn't work, which I have to give them credit for, their service has been very good.

May want to try the CDC sequentials. Mine have been trouble-free for 18 months.

I installed mine (plug in) and the only bad thing that happened was one bulb burned out. I replaced it and haven't had any problems since.

I got the plug and play kind from american muscle a few months ago, and havent had any problems with them. At least I don't think I've had any problems with them... I guess I haven't checked to make sure that they're working correctly since I installed them....Maybe I should do that...
